The Algorithm Casting

 

We are casting various roles for the film “The Algorithm”.

Log line: As climate change worsens, those in power implement population control through an algorithm that targets individuals deemed “not missed” by society. We follow Clayton as he fights for his life and works to expose the flaws in this chilling system.

Film dates: October 20th to October 29th, 2025

Filming location: Greenville, South Carolina and surrounding areas.

Budget: This is a low-budget independent production; however, all roles are paid. Rates will vary depending on the role, experience, and time commitment, and will be discussed individually with selected talent.

Clayton - Lead Role

Man | 25 - 39

Any Ethnic Appearance

Clayton is a young man in his early to mid-30s. He spent his childhood in the foster care system and didn’t experience true stability until his sophomore year of high school. That’s when he was placed with a foster family who treated him as one of their own. Though they were older, their wisdom gave him the tools to succeed and the emotional support he had long been missing. It was with this family that he learned his handyman skills. While the trauma of his early years still lingers, the structure and love he found with them helped him understand what real love is—and how to recognize and cherish it when it finally enters your life.

Alan - Supporting Role

Man | 35 - 60

Any Ethnic Appearance

Alan, is an older man, fit because he has an active job. He has worked for years in the company where Patrick works at, Hutchings Barnes. He is the "clean up" guy for the company, making sure the company's work gets done one way or another.
